“Sounds of the Japanese Studio”
The series of 7 photographs presented as part of the cyclical project “Postój ze Sztuką” (“Stopover with Art”) are fragments of works and objects that can be seen in the exhibition “Sounds of The Pentagonal Garden” at the Jan Tarasin Art Gallery in Kalisz. The photographs of some of the objects were taken in the surroundings of the atelier in Aso (Japan), while others in the interiors of the studio in Poznań. The reference of the object themselves to sound is metaphorical and imaginative.

Description of the images on the posters:
1. Painting “Imagining a Pentagonal Garden” lying on the floor of the Japanese version of the Utopia Pavilion.
2. Fragment of Japanese paper covering a sliding door and a fragment of an element from the Utopia Pavilion near Poznan.
3. Fragment of an ‘unfinished’ painting from the “Mechanics of the Heaven” series.
4. Table top found in Konstantynowo near Poznań, with a trace made with sandpaper
5. Fragment of a painting entitled “Takibe 14.04.2023”.
6. Reflection of the Japanese version of the Utopia Pavilion construction in the glass covering the surface of the painting.
7. Collage made on found wooden elements. Japanese wood saw.
